Safari Styles Choose
from a wide range of safaris and accommodation and, with our guidance and experience to call
upon, build up exactly the holiday you want. Your itinerary can take you to a selection of
lodges and hotels.
On SafariWe can match your tastes in the way you safari. The sedate traveller can enjoy drives through the bush in open Landrovers, the more adventurous can track rhino, elephants or maybe lion on foot with a highly experienced guide. Camping, horseback safaris, hot air ballooning or even elephant-back safaris offer still more choices. Many camps and lodges based on rivers or lakes offer river trips by boat or canoe - a relaxing way to travel on water. Canoe for anything from a few hours to several days, navigating the upper and lower Zambezi River.
The BeachAfter all the excitement of safari, many people like to unwind ... and Africa's beaches have lots to offer. Snorkelling, scuba diving and, if you are still feeling energetic, big game fishing. For many people, though, it is enough just to swim in a warm sea or take a stroll along a deserted beach. For idyllic beaches, we can take you to the likes of Bengella Island in Mozambique, Mnemba in Tanzania, or introduce you to Loggerhead Turtles at Rocktail Bay. We can even whisk you off to the Seychelles or Mauritius in the Indian Ocean for a truly laid back beach experience. TouringSouth Africa's famous Garden Route is another great way to unwind. You can take a hire car or we can arrange a tour through the Cape's most stunning scenery, stopping off at some of its world famous vineyards to taste the local wines, and staying in elegant old Cape homesteads. Golf It
often comes as a surprise to visitors that Africa has some of the world's most remarkable golf
courses, and with rounds sometimes costing as little as £10 it can be a very pleasant surprise
indeed!
Exloring by RailSince the realisation of the Cape to Cairo railway, trains are as much a part of the African experience as the safari. You can combine the two by travelling from Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park or from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Travelling to AfricaGetting there may not be the most exciting part of your African experience, but it is vital that every stage of your journey is carefully planned, from your international flight from the UK right down to the overland connection from a remote airstrip to a hideaway deep in the bush. Africa Select will plan your itinerary meticulously, and a network of company representatives will meet and help you at every stage of your journey. We will also arrange for the appropriate insurance cover for your trip. |
