Jaci's Safari lodge - Malaria Free, South Africa

Jaci's Safari Lodge is situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve, and it boasts 75 000 hectares of big five territory. Guests can also see Wild Dog, Black and White Rhino, extensive plains game, including Sable, Gemsbok, Springbok and Giraffe, as well as 340 species of birds. Jaci's is situated overlooking an established and frequently used water hole, under a grove of Tamboetie trees, on the edge of the Marico River. The main complex is curved around a huge anthill, and meals are made in an ultra modern kitchen in full view of the dining area. Dinners are eaten outside around the open fire in the boma under the stars. Upstairs there is a quiet reading space, a well-stocked ethnic craft shop and a satellite TV. Jaci's has eight thatched chalets, each with en suite bathroom and outside shower. Each canvas and rock chalet has a handmade ceramic fireplace surrounded by a stone chimney.
