You will spend the next three nights in this tranquil destination, exploring the park Sausage Tree Camp is situated on the banks of the mighty lower Zambezi River under a grove of giant riverine trees. It is an exotic twelve bedded camp with six large bedouine style tents, each with comfortable beds under mosquito net, and an open air ensuite with shower, flush toilet and hot and cold running water. The camp offers excellent food and service and includes all the activities and beverages, including wines. This area is teeming with game, bird and water life and you will be guided through your game and water activities by professional guides and scouts. This is untamed Africa at its very best! Day 6. Today you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your air charter to Mfuwe airport, via Lusaka. On arriving in Mfuwe, the gateway to the South Luangwa National Park, you will be met by your guide and transferred to one of the Bushcamp Company Camps.
Day 6 10 Bushcamp Company operates four intimate and exclusive camps, situated within the South Luangwa Park. Each of the four camps accommodates only six guests and offers a range of activities from regional walks, to day and night game drives. One of the more unusual activities on offer is the traditional walking safari, whereby the luggage is driven ahead and you walk with a professional guide to camp. Three of the camps are within ten kilometres of each other, and if you so wished you could participate in two nights in two different camps, walking between them and really participating in an African walking safari. All the camps are slightly different in location and design but they combine large walk in units with two ¾ beds, and ensuite shower and toilet facilities. These camps truly offer great hospitality and spectacular opportunities to explore this magnificent wildlife sanctuary. During your stay we recommend that you experience two of the camps so that you can enjoy different areas of the park. Phil Berry, one of the best known characters of the Lower Zambezi managers and guides at Kuyenda Camp. Day 10.
